Griot Blues was born from the depths of the human soul, where limits disappear, where the American Blues musician felt his African roots and the African Griot storyteller welcomed the Blues...back home.

It's is a new kind of music, a new genre of Blues and African rhythms and sounds where both sides are singing "calls and responds" to one another - creating a wonderful love affair and bringing Blues back home to Africa.

It's a story of two wonderful musicians who met in the remote land of Lithuania. Blues musician Mighty Mo Rodgers and the keeper of ancient African Griot traditions, Baba Sissoko, found common ground in their Griot Blues sound.
Magic happened.
Inspiration, improvisation and determination were the keys.

Musicians Luca Giordano, Walter Monini, Pablo Leoni, Darryl Dunmore and Seydou Diabate Sissokho completed this project.

Baba and Mo don't share a common language, but who cares about language when the connection is the universal language of music!
